COVID VIRUS BLUES
By Maggie O’Neill
Artwork by Carol Freas
As I sit here all alone
In quarantine with just my phone
And computer to pass the time
With perhaps a bit of wine
Slowly do the facts come clear
And realization brings a tear
My toilet paper now is done
There is no more for anyone
On top of that my hair is grey
No beauty salon open today
No bar to go to or crowd to meet
Just a quiet Island and empty streets
This covid virus is real bad news
So I’m singing the bars, beauty and bathroom blues
