Memories linger for longer than most
Of my times at the shore where you played the host
Photos of Foleys and picking blue crab
Reminders of all the family we have
In the back by the shed, an outdoor shower
Clothes hang to dry near bees on a flower
Guest rooms aplenty, there’s no shortage of beds
If you’re here, then you’re family and you’re sure to be fed
In the morning, walk the beach with sand soft and white
Mint chocolate chip and Rummikub is how we spend the night
When it’s time to be going, you’ll wish you could stay
Like the ocean down the street, everybody waves
Drive off, fly home, temporary goodbyes
Time there is worth more than what money could buy
