There’s just something about an outdoor shower at the shore. More than just a place to rinse off the remains of a day at the beach, for many, an outdoor shower is primal – a place to commune with nature.

To create his one-of-a-kind outdoor shower Joe Murray of Brant Beach worked with Roy Jablonski, owner of Accent Homes and Sean Clayton of Beach Haven West.

Sean introduced the idea of using a natural shell in place of a tradi-tional shower head. After exploring his options, including conchs found on LBI beaches, Joe decided to use a huge Lobatus gigas, a queen conch shell he discovered at Things A Drift in Ship Bottom.

The colors and contours of the queen conch complete the organic elements of Joe’s outdoor shower experience – bringing it even closer to nature.
